Coving is an attractive concave moulding that’s placed along the intersection of a wall and ceiling.

Similar to skirting boards, which are placed between a wall and floor, its purpose is to provide a stylish finish to a room.

Dalsouple provided a rubber coving product – called DalCove – that is waterproof, durable and long-lasting, making it a cost-effective option.

Due to manufacturing challenges associated with plant re-location DalCove has been temporarily substituted by Roppe instead.

The Roppe Pinnacle base is available in a range of heights and colours with or without a “toe” base.

Why is Coving Used?

It is primarily used to add an attractive finish to a room.

While some types can be rather ornate and decorative, it can also serve an alternative purpose: hiding imperfections that can appear at the junction between a wall and ceiling, such as holes and cracks.

By covering these up, the appearance of a room can be greatly improved, resulting in a finish that also adds texture and depth.

DalCove (aka Roppe Pinnacle Base)

Dalsouple’s DalCove (now Pinnacle Base) is a rubber coving product that’s available in a variety of heights and thicknesses, including both toed and toeless options.

*Minimum purchase is 36.576lm (on a roll or in 30 1.2192 linear metre lengths)

Perfect for wet areas, such as laundries and bathrooms, DalCove provides a waterproof solution that ensures you won’t have to worry about water damage, unlike other materials.

Other materials also require much more effort, such as timber, which first needs to be primed and painted.

Timber is also easily damaged, and can require re-painting every few years.

DalCove is a durable alternative that has a long lifespan, making it perfect for a wide variety of applications, including kitchens, bathrooms, offices, medical facilities, and more.
